Condominium Activity in Malibu, CA had less sales volume in 2006 than 2005

Let’s recap the actual condo sales activity for the year 2006 versus 2005 in Malibu, California. Based on the statistics provided by the Combined L.A./Westside MLS, Inc. – the beach front activity realized sales volume of $36,026,800 in 2006, almost equivalent to 77% of the sales volume in 2005. The sold homes averaged 82.6% sold price to the last listed price and about 76% sold price to the original list price.

Likewise the activity along the Malibu land area shows $35,288,750 sales volume in 2006, almost equivalent to 54 % of the sales volume in 2005. The sold units averaged about 92.6% comparing the final sales price to last listed price and about 88% comparing the final sales price to the originally listed price.

Additional highlights include – along the beach area, there were 20 total units sold in 2006, averaging 63 days on the market. At end of 2006, 15 units remain active and available with 1 unit in escrow.

In the Malibu land area, there were 38 total units sold in 2006, averaging 106 days on the market.  At the end of 2006, 35 units remain active and no unit in escrow.
