Rise in number of homes bought solely for vacations…

NAR Figures mark a steep increase in numbers

According to the National Association of Realtors there has been a dramatic rise in the number of people buying vacation homes. Sun drenched locations with desirable neighborhoods fairing best.

Malibu and the rest of the surrounding southern California coastline has long been popular with second home buyers. Point Dume, at Paradise Cove is an example of a gentrified Mobile Home Community with well to do residents mingling with other owners who have it as their vacation property, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Combined with their own beach which is away from the crowds.

The figures from NAR suggest that there was a 4.7% increase in 2006 over the previous year in vacation home ownership, over one million buyers bought vacation homes last year, that is a huge amount of people.

Whether for a vacation property or permanent relocation to the the area of Southern California surrounding Malibu a buyer will not be disappointed. Contact Judy Kunisaki today on 310-317-8396.
