Drive Safe through Southern California
Pacific Coast Highway adopts new signs to curb speeding
The world renowned Pacific Coast Highway which runs along the coast of Southern California - including Malibu. This stretch of road is famous because of its gorgeous scenery, a combination of sun, sea and a rugged coastline. Many have driven this road and taken advantage of the carefree feeling it gives.
However, this carefree attitude has long been subjected to scrutiny due to the number of drivers breaking the speed limit. 6 new electronic speed signs have been placed along the PCH. These are the signs which show you what speed you are going in relation to the limit.
This has been heralded as fantastic news as it should in theory make drivers think about their speed and make this famous highway a bit safer and cut the number of road deaths. Public Safety Commissioner Carol Randall is ‘thrilled’ as she was the main force behind the campaign to obtain the signs.
It is thought that this should have a positive effect along the entire route of the PCH.
