Malibu Lagoon State Park is where the Malibu Creek meets the ocean, the 169 acre wildlife reserve is a haven for migratory birds from Alaska and Central America during their respective seasons. It lies on the coast just off of the Pacific Coast Highway.
The area is well known for bird watching and is a great sanctuary for nature lovers and people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle.
The state park encompasses a gorgeous sandy beach and is just east of the prestigious celebrity enclave Malibu Colony. The park also has a museaum and guided tours of the wildlife which include more than birds – such as butterflies and flower gardens.
