The idea of a future house is not a new one and electronics makers have been using the idea for decades to showcase their latest innovations. However, our very own Malibu is host to a specially designed 3,500 square foot house called "LG House Malibu" by the electronics giant LG.
The house is host to a whole range of goodies such as a monster 71 inch plasma HDTV (sports fans be in awe!) along with dual format blu-ray/HD-DVD players. As well as a 15 inch LCD HDTV screen in the refrigerator – ideal for the quick news catch ups whilst unpacking the groceries.
The LG House in Malibu gives LG an opportunity to display is premium range of goods to the public in an environment which is relaxing and in tune with how buyers would use them – seeing a refrigerator in an appliance store doesn’t for allow easy visualisation into the home environment whereas seeing it in a show house does!
LG said the house has recently been used for an Emmy-Award winning actors and actress’s party and that it hopes than in a crowded world of press and paparazzi, the house can become an oasis of calm for local celebrities!
