The Standardized Testing and Report Results for Malibu Schools was released last week.
The tests were given to students in grades 2 through to 11 in spring and tested areas such as English and Math for all grades and science and history in some of the higher grades.
Malibu High School and Malibu Middle School were above the state average in most areas whereas all the Malibu area Elementary Schools were above state average.
The overall trend is in gaining better schools and increasing performance all round but there are a few cases where scores were slightly lower than expected. However one of the largest gains over 2006 was third grade math which had jumped up from 81% proficiency to 96% proficiency!
