Malibu is home to California Wildlife Center

Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, the center provides rehabilitation services for wildlife

Many will have heard of the California Wildlife Center, nestled amongst the hills in Northern Malibu in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains. The world which this non-for-profit organization does is outstanding.

It is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of a wide range of local species from land mammals to oceanic creatures who need help on the coast. It prides itself in being the Los Angeles area’s primary rehabilitation center.

The strive to provide better education on wildlife as well as running kid’s programs which allow local kids clubs to get involved. Their website is a wealth of information, with local wildlife news, related community events and fundraisers as well as an online store for buying ”CWC stuff!”

There are many ways that people can get involved, from volunteering to the adopt-an-animal program.

This Center is a beacon for the environmental community in the area and shows the great community spirit found in Malibu.
