California News: Malibu Gets to Grips With Wildfires
Second Day of Wildfires hits the Southern California Area
Malibu residents will be used to the occasional wildfire due to the dry climate but extra precautions should be taken to protect property.
The unusual low humidity, high temperatures and gusty winds have made the dry brush a target for combustion.
This current threat has torched hundreds if not thousands of acres of brush, in the meantime teams of firefighters and overhead assistance from aircraft are part of the efforts to contain the fires.
Evacuation centers are being set up in the High School and Pacific Palisades Community. Residents are being urged to keep an eye on local conditions.
