Malibu News: President Bush Visits Areas Effected By Wildfire

George W. Bush Visits Area To Survey Damage and Express Sympathy

The President visited Southern California yesterday on a visit to ensure that Federal aid was getting thorough to the right areas in addition to State and County resources.

He declared some parts an emergency and expressed sympathy for those effected by the fires.

The visit was organized by a telephone conversation between Gov. Schwartzenegger and President Bush. On the visit the President had this to say:

"I want the people in Southern California to know that Americans all across this land care deeply about them,"

Homeowners of course are surveying their properties to check for any fire or smoke damage. They are reminded to be cautious of any potential scams that may be going around in the aftermath to the fires.

If you require assistance please see the link to the FEMA website below.
