Malibu Wildfire Relief Effort: National Association of Realtors Donates $500,000
NAR Donates half a million dollars to recovery fund of fire victims
As announced by the California Association of Realtors as well as the National Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors have donated $500,000 from the Realtors Relief Foundation to help the relief effort in areas effected by the southern California wildfires of late.
The fires which destroyed 1,600 homes in the region have left many needing help. The President of the California Association of Realtors, Colleen Badagliacco said:
“We are gratified for the rapid response by NAR in their efforts to assist Realtors in California and other members of the Realtor family who have been impacted by the Southern California wildfires,”
NAR’s own press release on their website announced the donation and asked the associations 1.3million members to donate if they can (donations are tax deductible).
The Realtor Relief Foundation was set up to distribute funds to victims in need after natural disasters.
The donation has been well received by all and it is hoped that it will help those who have lost their homes rebuilt their lives.
