Malibu’s Legacy Park is an ambitious project and as such costly. However the City Council received a huge cash boost by way of a grant from Annenberg Foundation of $2 million.
The Pennsylvania based foundation’s donation is the largest ever private donation to the City in history and is to help pay for the complex work on the waste water treatment system which was more involved than the city first budgeted for.
The project plans to deal with the city’s waste water and storm run off as well as help create a real focus to the city center with the landscaping of Legacy Park itself.
