New Codes for Construction Come Into Force January 1st 2008

With the end of 2007 nearly here the event does not just mean a chance to celebrate the new year it also means new construction codes come into force on January 1st 2008.

State law requirements dictate that 2007 California Building, Plumbing, Mechanical. Electrical and Fire Codes come into effect in the city as of that date.

All plans submitted on or after that date will be subject to the new rules and ones that have been submitted prior will be subject to the previous 2001 codes.
