Apart from having world class beaches, luxurious real estate and a beautiful rugged coastline, Malibu is home to Pepperdine University a top flight University right in Malibu.
A medium sized university that enrolls around 8,300 students acros five college in diverse fields such as Law, Psychology and Business in the 830 acre Malibu Campus which benefits from stunning views of the Pacific ocean.
The University was founded in 1937 and opened its Malibu campus in 1972.
Asides from acadamia the university is a leading employer in the area as well as a venue for many events as well as meeting space. Currently they are providing rooms for Operation Recovery 2007 the support for local residents effected by the fires of late.
